River Dunavin, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania River began his training in 2003 with Marshall Rosenberg, the developer of Nonviolent Communication and became a certified trainer in 2015. River sees NVC as a methodology that illuminates our connection with one another and adds resiliency to the natural collaboration which emerges with human connection. River holds the vision that we all can thrive and do no harm. His role in life is to inspire trust that anyone can live a life filled with grace and gratefulness. It’s simple and challenging, taking intention and daily practice. River is vice-president for the Network for Nonviolent Communication. He is a trainer for Heart to Heart, a mediator, trainer, and circle-keeper with Good Shepherd Mediation Program, and a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association. He also coaches individuals, couples, ‘throuples’ and teams. River pursues a passion to provide NVC training to incarcerated men and women.
