There's a danger in using empathy exchange to perpetually recirculate and exchange pain (often by telling and re-telling the same old stories), rather than using it as a catalyst for transformation. It can create and further pain in whatever form: anger, destructiveness, hatred, grief, emotional drama, and violence. It can also reinforce dualistic evaluations of "met" vs "unmet" needs. And it...

If you are passionate about sharing Nonviolent Communication and want to create a successful livelihood in doing so — or create more sustainability and abundance in your current efforts in sharing NVC — this course recording is designed with you in mind!

Use this exercise to increase your likelihood of successful follow-through with your sustainability plan, by releasing fear energy and developing support structures that help you carry out your plan. Here you'll engage the goals that pertain to money, meaning and self care.

When we compare we lose connection to our needs. When we move out of comparison, it paves the way to finding more meaning and sustainability. Plus, it changes how we use our time. In these exercises you'll reflect upon how it affects you when you compare yourself to others. And how you can bring more money into what is meaningful, and how you can bring more meaning into your financial life.

Use these reflection questions and exercise to practice moving from a place of scarcity to empowerment and conscious choice regarding money and time. The exercise will ask you to identify your thoughts, feelings, and needs. And it will ask you to identify both what to mourn and what next actions you want to take. It includes a feelings and needs sheet.

Jeff shows us how to emply NVC to supercharge the possibility of transformation between two people in a mediation process.

Ask the Trainer: "I feel a lot of fear or nervousness about approaching a neighbor who uses 'wastebasket talk.' Once she's engaged, there are only two techniques that interrupt the flow: leaving or interrupting."

Ask the Trainer: "I understand that I'm not responsible for someone else's feelings, but my girlfriend doesn't. Do you have ideas for how I could get her to understand this concept?"

Ask the Trainer: "What guidance do you have for working with enemy images? Can you say some things about processes and/or exercises that can bring relief from this trap?"
