DESCRIPTION

How can one engage in these potent conversations while holding peace within oneself?

This course is intended to expand and deepen the conversation of systemic and interpersonal racism, while utilizing and integrating the consciousness of NVC— a process and language designed to create connection and natural giving from the heart.

You will explore how to incorporate observations, feelings, needs, and requests in a way that skillfully unpacks the naming of an unjust system from a connected, respected, and dignified place.

CNVC Certified Trainer, Morris Ervin brings a fresh level of energy and enthusiasm to this work.

Over two impactful sessions, he will infuse music, movement, and the ancient healing practices of storytelling to create authentic spaces for healing, freedom, interdependence, reciprocity, and connection.

You can expect to:

  • Unpack interpersonal, internalized, and institutional racism from the lens of NVC consciousness
  • See and define racism as a system created to meet the needs of one group at the expense of another
  • Hear and share personal stories of racism, power, and privilege and their impacts
  • Translate “hard to hear" messages of racism, power, and privilege into deeper conversations that meet needs of connection, interdependence, mutual respect, and shared reality

Participants can look forward to demonstrations, breakout rooms, interactive discussions, and exercises for deeper integration!
