Get ready to embark on a transformative journey inspired by the late Robert Gonzales!
Robert’s legacy continues to inspire and awaken the hearts of many. His seminal work will serve as the cornerstone of this enriching program, guiding you through a profound exploration of Compassionate Communication and inner connection.
Over seven evenings, you will delve into each chapter of Gonzales's book "The Spirituality of Nonviolent Communication - A Course in Living Compassion," published posthumously in November 2022.
This course offers a sacred space to deepen your understanding of his teachings, practice the principles of Living Compassion, and immerse yourself in the life-changing field of empathic connection.
How do you handle times when you…
😣 Begin to harshly criticize yourself internally after making a mistake at work?
😤 Get triggered when a friend cancels their plans with you at the last minute?
😟 Are facing a significant life change, such as a career shift, that brings uncertainty?
😩 Are in a bustling city environment, feeling disconnected from nature and life?
😕 Are struggling to accept a family member's choices that you do not agree with?
When you start to apply Living Compassion, you will learn to…
Improve Self-Compassion
Apply compassionate self-talk techniques, acknowledge the mistake as a learning opportunity, and reassure yourself with kindness.
Enhance Emotional Relationships
Be less triggered and able to maintain a greater understanding of other's needs, reducing the intensity and duration of negative feelings.
Cultivate Inner Peace
Find your inner calm and trust in life's process, relaxing into the unknown. This helps you approach the change with a peaceful mindset, rather than anxiety and fear.
Enhance Connection with the Environment
Tap into the awareness of life's interconnectedness and recognize the life that pulses around you— even in an urban setting. This awareness allows you to feel a part of something larger and fosters a sense of belonging.
Develop Acceptance and Effective Action
Through these practices, you learn to develop true inner acceptance of what is, rather than what you want things to be. This acceptance empowers you to interact with family members more effectively, respecting their autonomy while maintaining your values.
Designed with both newcomers and seasoned practitioners in mind, this course does not require prior reading of the book, although it is recommended to enhance your learning experience.

Who was Robert Gonzales? Robert's passion was in the spirituality of the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) process. He saw NVC both as a process that helps people connect more authentically with themselves and others, and as a spiritual practice and way of living. The worldwide NVC community mourned when Robert died in 2021. He left behind a legacy of work that emerged from a lifetime of inquiry into the intersection between spirituality and human communication. People across the world who learned from him express that they could not have done their own work without having experienced Robert's presence and compassion. |
